Warming Blend

$10.00

If you're prone to feeling cold, take a sip of this blend full of warming, stimulating herbs and spices. This blend is also great to drink if you need an extra boost of energy (caffeine free!).

Flavor Profile:
Spicy, sweet, astringent

Herb Information:
*Turmeric: Helps boost the immune system and reduces inflammation
*Ginger: Helps stimulate digestion and relieves nausea
*Cardamom: Helps stimulate the mind and acts as an aphrodisiac
*Hibiscus: High in vitamin C and antioxidants

Brewing Instructions:
Prepare an infusion. For more flavor, lightly grind the blend in a mortar and pestle until the turmeric and cardamom seeds are a bit more broken down. Place 2 tsp herbs in a glass bowl or jar with a lid, or a ceramic teapot with a lid. Bring water to a boil, then shut off heat and pour water over the herbs. Place the lid over the bowl, jar, or teapot and let steep for at least 20 minutes. The lid helps trap the volatile oils in the herbs that carry the most potent medicine! You can also steep this overnight at either room temp or in the fridge after the liquid reaches room temp.

Kristina’s Preparation Recommendations:
This tea is full of what we call “stimulating herbs” that warm up the body and give you energy without the caffeine. I recommend drinking this one in the morning, especially if you wake up feeling cold. If you are experiencing digestive upset (stool that smells rancid and/or burns), then I’d avoid this blend and drink the cooling blend instead.
